2003 SV 1000 Engine Mounting question

I bought a 2003 SV 1000 today, it is a complete bike, but it was all taken apart. So my plan was to put everything back together! I have torn apart and put together a lot of bikes, so they are no stranger to me, but this SV has me confused, I got the motor in the frame, but there are these big holes on the left side that are threaded, I am assuming a bolt goes through with a big washer, but on the left side is a gap between the frame and the engine. is that gap supposed to be there? of am i missing some spacers? or what? if anyone has a bike torn apart i would love to see some pictures of the motor in the frame. thanks!
