noob here...

i just changed my clutch pushrod and seal because my old pushrod broke when i broke a chain and it just removed it for me.
my question is this, after a somewhat seamless replacement. when i start my bike up, oill starts to leak all over the place very badly from the seal. when i installed the seal, i noticed it seemed to go in farther than the old one was. all replacement parts are just oem stuff. anyone else had to go thru this and could you give me some pointers?

thanks,
mike

after some thinking, i have come to the conclusion that the seal is pushed in too far. is the seal only supposed to be in far enough so that the metal bracket that covers it is holding it from coming out farther?
