Got a 2001 with 5k miles on it. Brand new to riding and loving it so far.

My only issue is that my garage smells like gas...constantly. I put cardboard on the floor, nothing. I washed it, it still smells. Leave the choke off, there is a valve that the prior owner installed on the fuel line and I always close that. I start it outside and leave it outside for an hour after riding. No visible gas either, I cant figure it out. Any ideas?

Also, I need to replace the front turn signal, any good after markets that people like?

I could smell gas fumes on my '01SVS while riding, in cold or warm weather. I even had the dealer look at the bike when it was 1 month old. The issue never went away and I owned the bike for nine yrs. You just may need to crack a window in your garage. I installed insulating heat shield to the bottom of the tank to insulate the tank from the engine heat, but it made no difference. I assume it was coming from the vented fuel cap.
