Just put a new antigravity lithium restart battery in yesterday. Took the bike out today for a ride and it was running great. Stopped off at a car wash to fill the tires with some air and I noticed that when I went to start the bike, the tach needle was all the the way past 13,000 rpms and resting on the stop post, and wouldn’t return to zero, even when I turned off the bike. I ended up pulling the tach apart and pushed the needle a little bit and it swung back to zero. Buttoned it back up and took it out to ride again, and it was doing well for a while, but it ended up jumping past 13000 rpms again.

Thought it was possibly a loose battery terminal and wasn’t.

Anyone have an idea as to what might be causing this?
