it has 13K miles with alot in city, could it need to be adjusted, how do i know if my grips are the problem, or if its the throttle cable? The rpm's also raise when i twist my handlebars, and my idle adjuster doesn't seem to work. I've got clip on handlebars fyi.

I don't know how they would have become tighter buet you could try to loosen them- there are two adjustment nuts under rubber covers about 8" down the cable from the throttle housing.

Sounds like you need to adjust everything

try to adjust them. check that the cables/linkage are returning to position at the carb. just sounds like a stuck throttle, too sharp of bends in the cable routing possibly??
