Gen 1 650 running on one cylinder
So I purchased my 2001 SV650 about a month ago and I've been going about bringing it back to its former glory. The previous owner garage kept it but rode it only a handful of times in 5 years, he neglected its maintenance. I've changed the oil, tires, chain etc. I've ridden it about 5 times so far and it has run great each time. But this morning I went out to ride it and it was only running on one cylinder, at higher revs the other cylinder would kick on sometimes. The idle would stutter every now and then when the second cylinder was kicking on and then shut off again. I put some seafoam through it and after about 20 minutes of riding, it started running better. Parked it for about 15 minutes after that short ride and then it started up just fine with only a few hiccups. I'm assuming the carb is the source of the problem. I ordered a rebuild kit for each carb and a new air filter. Do y'all think the carb is my most likely issue? For reference, it ran fine with me, then I parked it outside (under a motorcycle cover) and it rained for about a week, then the issues manifested themselves this morning. Any help is appreciated.
