Coolant System Question

So I recently bought a 2001 SV650 and have been going about bringing it back to its former glory. I've flushed the coolant and filled up the radiator and reservoir. I accidentally overfilled the reservoir though to where it is filling the "empty-full" window entirely but not much more than that. My question is will I need to drain the reservoir some or does it have an overflow which will simply overflow the excess as the bike warms? or is it simply fine the way it is? Any advice is helpful. The Haynes manual wasn't much help to me on this.

With a container to collect on the ground you can just use a pair of Snipe/Narrow nosed pliers and remove the bottom pipe off the reservoir and drop some or all out and fill to correct level.Might as well get it right for a few mins work
