How do you replace the clutch pushrod

A few weeks ago my chain slipped off and bent my clutch pushrod. I havenít had much time to work on her but not sure what needs to be removed to slide the rod out.

Can anyone with experience doing this chime in?

Just the Bendix actuator needs to come off, which means the cover, and the bolts that homd it in. The rod itself just slides out, it's only held captive by the Bendix.

If it's not leaking, i would probably just adjust the clutch cable if needed and not worry about it.

If it's visibly bent, it will leak sooner or later. Replacing it is very easy.

No that bad boy leaked quite a bit of oil. Barely made it home. Thankfully no oil light. Sounds simple enough thanks.

You will want to replace the seal as well in that case.

Re: How do you replace the clutch pushrod

Update: So i installed a new pushrod and seal. But its still leaking. I started up the engine and oil started oozing out slowly. I pushed the seal all the way. Did i need to really jam it hard in there? Im confused.

It looks like its leaking from the bottom of the seal not the middle where the pushrod is.

Re: How do you replace the clutch pushrod

You pushed it in too far, and you need to use sealant on a clean mating surface. It should be flush, not recessed.

Insee I thought that. A sealant? What do you recommend. Thanks.
