Help Identifying a Ricor Shock?

I bought an'08 SV650 a couple of weeks ago and it came with a brand new, unopened Ricor rear shock. The previous owner doesn't know anything about it because the original owner bought the shock and never got around to having it installed

The spring is red and labeled "Eibach AP" and 0800.225.0450. It does not have a reservoir. I'm 153 pounds with gear and I'm wondering what I have and if it will work for me. I currently have the OEM shock on the bike and it's very harsh over bumps and that's at the lowest pre-load setting. Bike only has 9K miles but at twelve years old, I assume it's pretty worn out.

Thanks guys.

Re: Help Identifying a Ricor Shock?

I weigh 175#, my Ricor shock is 400#, stock is 430#.
Ricor will put on a new spring reasonably if the shock is new in the box.
They can also tell you what you've got now, which I expect is #450
