FI light - error code c32

Howdy folks. Been having the FI light come on now and then ever since I installed a Power Commander III. I was finally able to catch the FI light while I had my tools handy, and thus was able to jump the diagnostic pins and retrieve the error code. The code is c32. Does anyone have a manual handy and can tell me what this code means?

I only seem to get this error when the bike is cold. (In the mornings on my way to work, for example, after the bike has sat all night.) After the bike has warmed up, the code doesn't seem to show up. I've already emailed DynoJet about it, but still waiting for a response. Figured I'd check in with you all as well to see if you had any suggestions.

Thanks!

Re: FI light - error code c32

The exact words in the SV-650K7 section say:

Detected Item: Fuel Injector

Detected Failure Condition: CKP sensor (pickup coil) signal is produced, but fuel injector signal is interrupted (front 8 times, rear 8 times) or more continuously. In this case, the code C32 (PO201) or C33 (PO202) is indicated.

Check for: Fuel injector, wiring/coupler connection, power supply to the injector

Re: FI light - error code c32

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. The PCIII leeches its power off of the fuel injectors, which always seemed a bit weird to me. (Rather than having its own power supply.) It must be leeching a bit too much, and causing the fuel injector to not respond right. Hmm... that's a bummer. Hopefully DynoJet will have some suggestions...

Re: FI light - error code c32

if you have an 07, which i assume you do by your sig, the only racer i know that had a pc on his 07 racebike couldnt make it work either. it was actually the first pc for the 07 dynojet sent out. it caused all kinds of funky code problems when he ran it. he eventually took it off, and raced with the stock ecu. no problems after that.

i told you all PC are the devil.

Re: FI light - error code c32

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that way as well. The new '07 system, with dual spark plugs per cylinder, O2 sensors, etc, might just be too much for a simple piggy-back unit like the PCIII. An ECU reflash would probably be the best bet, but I really don't know much about that or who could *properly* do it. If this doesn't work out, I'm okay just pulling the PC out. I don't really notice any power differences with it, and honestly I didn't really care about power. The bike has plenty for me at this point in my life. I was just hoping to fix the fuel mixture to account for the exhaust I got so the bike wouldn't run too lean and cause long-term problems.

Re: FI light - error code c32

No luck for me. Dynojet said it might be a bad connection, and that I should check all my connections. I checked everything, made sure all the plugs were secure, and the problem still occurs.

Re: FI light - error code c32

My '07 also does this - but IIRC, it did happen once before I installed the PC3. Dealer said might be a bad ECU, but didn't know. I still haven't dropped it off to have them look at it...

Re: FI light - error code c32

fi light error has been solved by dynojet.

using firmware 2.1.2 for powercommander.
the fi light will not come on again.

the performance is same as before.
