I have been noticing a lot of threads with very cool pictures and links and in conversing with some other frequent posters thought maybe we could try to roll some of the best content up into one place. I look here and on the internet, as well as tv, in printed media and at bike shows and all over, for inspiration for my projects, so with Winter coming hopefully this can be a place for people to look for their ideas too.
Please try to keep this on topic, and keep in mind it isnt necessarily about SV's - classic bikes, cafe racers, GP bikes, thumpers, 2 smokers, Vtwins, euro bikes, and most anything you got. Ok, maybe not the really egregiously ugly 'I wouldnt ride that if you paid me' type bikes though.
*Obviously we cant always control what other outside sources do with their images, links, and content - so over time if this thread continues I am sure there will be dead links and little red x's popping up. I will do what I can to keep my posts updated!
I'm with ya. I also think that the blue anodized bits on the R6 calipers should be blacked out.
Bike is still awesome, though - and he did a ton of the fab himself: seat pan & cowl, rear fender, front fender, headlight brackets, custom rearsets, fitment of period aftermarket swingarm, spacers & hub machining to fit the CB wheel to the R6 RSU front end, etc. etc. etc.

Oh, I fully agree it's a very well done bike. His skill is amazing and that's what's so frustrating! It would have been like 10 minutes with a grinder to make those pieces go away. Blue anodized stuff always look trick and it goes with the red, white, blue paint scheme, so they can stay.
Came across a bike using this combination a couple of years ago in Monterey (Laguna Seca). It was nowhere near as polished as this one but man did that thing work !!
It needs a paint job, but that's the duck's guts otherwise. What do you know about the bodywork Tel? I've never seen it before. It's very CB1100 cross early Speed Triple, very nice - Top Five. Did you know...those wheels, especially the front, are some of the lightest around? I had a set on my GS850 (Suzuki).
I can see the appeal. The wheels are a bit Buck Rogers, and I've never gone much on the Rickmans' styling. The tank and duck-tail just looked awkward to me. But I still like them because every now and then someone picks up a Rickman and nails it.
Someone obviously likes this Rickman as much as you. Most of its appeal to me comes from the obvious fact that someone has put a lot of effort into it. I really like the choice of pipe and the way the engine peeps forwards out of the fairing.
These are both reposts. They are the best Honda and the best Kwaka Rickmans I have seen.
Yes .. the bee's knees works for me. I love them Rickmans! I have even come to accept those early PM wheels. While the Honda and Kawi engined versions make more sense, the real lookers are the Triumph engined Rickmans in British racing green.
I will try to find a decent pic of one later today ..
