Re: Bazzaz fuel controller

I did talk to Bazzaz tech support. They are actually very helpful. Everything checked out when I was on the phone with them. I think it's just a map issue and most likely the map that came with the...

Bazzaz fuel controller

I just installed the Bazzaz Z-Fi fuel controller on my 2017 SV650 and took it for a 45 minute test ride. My bike is totally stock, except for a G3 ergonomics throttle tamer. I'm using the enhanced...

Re: Finally happened... my first real crash on my SFV650 Gladius

This video is why I don't commute to work on my bike. Thanks for sharing. I see a couple of ways this accident could have been avoided. But I'll refrain from that commentary. We all know the risks of...

Re: I Almost Died

Unless he actually hit you, the cops can't do anything about it, sorry to say. Just be glad it was "almost" and that you're ok.

Re: Babbitts Online

I don't know why the oem plugs are hard to find for Gen3 bikes. The funny thing is, I think the oem plugs are also made by NGK. I would not have bothered with the oem plugs if I had known that.

Re: Babbitts Online

I actually tried to get plugs for my 2017 from the dealership first. In fact, I went to two different Suzuki dealerships. Both told me they had to order them. So I told them that it was ok, I would...

Re: Babbitts Online

Babbitts customer service now said the 4th plug is back ordered and they don't know when it will be available. I've asked them to refund me the amount for the 4th plug.
The problem with Babbitts...

Re: Babbitts Online

I must be unlucky then. In my frustration, I order 4 NGK iridium spark plugs from Summit Racing and got all of them (all at once) in 3 days. Oh, and for half the price of the oem plugs. I'll use the...

Babbitts Online

Has anyone bought parts through babbittsonline.com? I am having a terrible experience with them. I ordered and paid for four Gen3 SV650 spark plugs. After a week, I still hadn't received an email...

Re: 2017 SV650 ABS rear shock adjustment

The Gen3 suspension is definitely too harsh. I weigh 177 lbs. I set the preload adjuster to 1, (least spring compression). I know that didn't work for you, but the ride is acceptable if I do that.

What's your favorite gear?

On my 2017 SV, with stock gearing, my favorite is definitely 3rd gear. What I like to do on my favorite stretch of road is go full throttle starting at 30mph in 3rd. I just gun it and take it all the...

Re: Snatchy throttle

I think you're right about the PC5. Although the throttle tamer has been great, I'm dealing with one more issue that I think a PC5 might solve. My bike feels like it's hesitating a little between...

ABS testing

Has anyone had their ABS system activate during emergency braking or hard stops? If so, does the ABS light come on when the system is activated? I was practicing emergency braking in a parking lot,...

Re: Snatchy throttle

So I bought the G2 throttle tamer for my 2017 and installed it a few days ago. I wasn't in a hurry to try it because, honestly, I didn't think it would make much of a difference. I didn't see any...

Re: Snatchy throttle

Zenken13:
What brand throttle tamer did you purchase? I can't find anything that will fit a Gen3 SV650. Also, did you have to replace the stock kill switch assembly?

Re: Snatchy throttle

After having tightened up my throttle play and riding for a while, I do find the bike a little easier to control. But the snatchiness still exists. The difference is now it only occurs if my hand is...

Re: Snatchy throttle

Removing the throttle play solved my problem. But if I ever decide to install a Power Commander, I will certainly post the results on this forum.

Re: Snatchy throttle

Hawker12, Before my adjustment, the 3mm of play I measured with my caliper was the amount I had to twist the throttle (roll on) before the throttle would actually start to open. So as I'm riding at...

Re: Snatchy throttle

I checked my throttle and my chain. The chain was fine. For the throttle, I had about 3mm or play. I adjusted the thumb wheel and removed all of the play. That made a huge difference! The snatchiness...

Snatchy throttle

Hello fellow riders. I have a 2017 SV650 that I really enjoy. But one problem I've had with it since I bought it new has been the snatchy or jerky on/off throttle response at low speeds. It's a real...

Re: K-tech 4 way rear shock review...

The riding I do is 5% around town, 25% highway, and 70% twisty back roads. I've never been to the track and don't plan to. On the back roads, the fastest I'll go is maybe 10 to 15 mph above the...

Re: Rear shock swap with 90* res GSXR shock on ABS models! (And no modification)

So how does your bike ride with the GSXR600 shock? Has the ride quality improved? I'm looking to upgrade my stock rear shock with something better at absorbing bumps.

Re: K-tech 4 way rear shock review...

Busdriver, are you saying there is no compression adjustment for your K-Tech rear shock?
Do you have the following shock?...
