Re: FI light when roll on >170deg

Have you tried removing the PC3....that is likely your problem anyway.

Re: Any idea why my SV does this?

You live in very different climates, and even countries. I wouldn't be so sure the computer is programmed identically, nor that it behaves the same way given the environments.

If this were a...

Re: Any idea why my SV does this?

I would guess buggy software in the computer. You have the earliest model FI bike...you could try swapping in an ECU from a slightly newer model.

It could just be the temperature sensor.

Re: Finally happened... my first real crash on my SFV650 Gladius

Resorting to namecalling and general rudeness in all of your posts unprovoked = trolling.

You can have your opinion, but you don't have to be a jerk. Also, covering the brake can be dangerous,...

Re: Finally happened... my first real crash on my SFV650 Gladius

Please, cite the source of your claim. Every study I've seen shows cars outbraking bikes, period. Then, try to do it while swerving and see which one stops sooner (hint, it's not the bike).

Re: Acceleration problems

I would have a close look at your sprockets, particularly the front one. If it's worn, the chain could skip over the teeth.

The other strong possibility, aside from the aforementioned clutch, is...

Often times people get stunned or a bloody nose or some other minor injury, but don't need an...

Re: Sucky pushrod seal design

Is it possible you have a pinched or blocked hose/air valve?

Especially when the motor revs up, there are lots of air pressure pulses that can pop seals out if not vented properly.

Re: Rear seat cowl bracket doesn't fit my 2003

Yes the 03 model has a slightly different rear subframe and thus tail section then the 04+ 2g, which are all interchangeable.

Re: Gear Indicator

There are some on eBay for around $75 that are plug n' play. Personally, I just keep track in my head.

Re: Locked keys under rear seat!

You can probably get it to unlatch with a thin shim...the lock turns a cable, which releases the seat latch.

I would just open the wheel enough to check for water, not actually pumch any bearings out.

Pretty sure I took the rear wheel and spacers out on my 04 without pressing anything, and the bearings...

Re: Deep water crossing

Sealed bearings are not waterproof, it just means they have seals. Water spray from rain is not the same as immersion.

Your car is sealed, and will keep rain out driving around, but drive into a...

Re: Deep water crossing

Trans and motor share oil, so if the oil looks good there's nothing to worry about on the trans.
