Test ride around my neighborhood. Figured out my transmission is somehow set up GP style: 1up, 3down. I may switch it. Dunno yet.

Carb is spitting; gotta sort...

My parents came to visit and I wanted...

Re: Earplugs for motorcycle riding

Yes, I wear earplugs. Religiously. Tinnitus and hearing loss from stupidity when I was younger and damage from years in the Marines.

The most comfortable I've ever used? The formed green plugs...

Re: Do the classics ever get old?

Re: The shovelhead chronicles

I finally got to this point. The bike is almost done. Since making this video this weekend, I've connected the tach and set the idle speed to around 1200rpm. In this video, it's too low.

I've...

Re: Valve shim kit?

I just moved (a week ago) and have a full kit...somewhere.

Give me a couple days to try and find it. I probably have what you need on hand. Send me a PM in a few days to remind me.

Re: The shovelhead chronicles

In a week we're moving to a new house with a three car garage. Two of the bays will be my wood shop/work space. I'm hoping to finally get the wiring done and get it titled this summer.

My welder...

Re: Kawasaki Vulcan S as an alternative for SV?? ))

Oh, I should add that I've ridden several versions of the Vulcan. *None* are in the same class as a SV. And, as a cruiser, I'd hate to have one as my only bike.

I'll eventually own a cruiser...

Re: Kawasaki Vulcan S as an alternative for SV?? ))

Test ride some bikes before buying.

Re: The Cafe/2Stroke/Single/Twin/Brit/Euro/Cool Bike Pic Thread

I didn't mean to come across as rude or condescending. My apologies if I did.
