Re: Pay It Forward

Hey All,

Have had these parts laying around for awhile and I didn't want to dump them. Hopefully they can find a new home somewhere. I can't say all the hardware (bolts/screws) will be included...

Re: FS: SV650 Random Parts

@tscott - I haven't checked yet...too busy :(
If you want to seat cover it's yours for the price of shipping. Maybe $20?

Let me know what you think.

Hey All,

Gonna finally sell/give all the parts I have left over from when I did the GSXR front-end on my SV650. A bunch of other random stuff too. I honestly have no real idea what the prices...

Re: Fairing to suit 06 SV650 naked

Windscreen looks custom after staring at it. That little dent seems different.
Here is OEM for reference : https://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/200710/2008-suzuki-sv650-5_1600x0w.jpg

Re: GSXR Front and ZX-14 Rear

No Worries - it was a great suggestion and overall it worked. Even without those bottom bolts attached the fender was more than secure enough with the 2 bolts in the front and 2 bolts in the back.

Re: GSXR Front and ZX-14 Rear

I ended up with an 08 or 09 750 front fender. Though I am not 100% sure.

Anyways, it fit on there ok but for a few things. Here it is installed...

Re: GSXR Front and ZX-14 Rear

@junkie - so I ended up getting a later front fender and it works ok but it actually didn't bolt up perfectly :| I used it as insurance while I chopped up the original front fender same as I chopped...

Re: Second Generation SV650 Exhausts (Post Pictures Here)

They are 05 GSXR 600 forks. A very common change for folks with an SV who either like the took or what more adjustability in their setup.

Steve Hunt over in the for sale forum has another pair I...

Re: “universal” gauge hookup

Speaking of other Suzuki clusters - I always thought about trying a GSXR 600 cluster from say 2004-2008 on my SV650. I've not seen one in person though so it could be just as big :) Having the...

I am also considering a simple round single cluster for my SV650s. Im not terribly concerned with getting the connections right as just...

Re: Love riding my SV, wife doesn't want me to ride

This is definitely an interesting and worth while topic. Doesn't just apply to motorcycle riding, but anything that could be considered dangerous.

Anyways, my wife didn't mention the riding very...

Re: Are you concerned parking outside?

Thankfully my bike is parked inside my garage at night.
This is mostly during the day while I commute downtown. It's very unlikely that a bike would get nicked in the areas I park. Especially...

Are you concerned parking outside?

So I live in a city and it's not unheard of that people steal things =) I'd imagine this happens pretty much everywhere to a certain extent.

Now I have an 2006 SV650S so my concerns over the bike...

You can generally find plenty of 3rd party buckets on eBay. Just look for a 7" I think is the size. Pretty standard.

Otherwise still plenty of places will sell the OEM bucket if you want to drop...

In a pinch you could just get something to act as a spacer. Before doing it properly as @goldenchicken mentions and buying the right bar ends I would just get some thin padding/rubber and put a...

Re: 2007 SV650S engine ticking noise

I just got off mine after riding to work and it was louder than that, lol. As other's previously noted, sounds to me just like normal SV chatter and you should be fine to ride it.

They are becoming harder and harder to find as the years have gone by I've found. It used to be that you could easily find good condition ones for $45-$50 bucks.

I'd be happy to find one <$90...
