Rearset-Lifters

I recently purchased and installed a pair of machined aluminum rearset lifters from Matt Thompson for my sv. These lifters are great, and you cant go wrong for the price ($55). Included in the package is everything you will need: 2 plates to move your existing rearsets up 1" and back 1", nice matching aluminum socket head cap screws (although they are standard, not metric), and a nice aluminum shift rod extender. The 1" + 1" combination is nearly perfect for street applications because anything more aggressive would cause interference w/ the passenger pegs (and/or my twin Renegade high
pipes).

These plates in conjunction w/ my recent fork mod (15w oil, 15mm added preload, 5mm down in the triples; for a 140lb. rider per the recommendation of Erik Madsen) really changed the attitude of my bike.

During my install of the plates, I paused half way through to compare the foot position w/ my bike on the Pitbull stand. The difference was awesome as I felt like I was sitting more on top of the tank w/ the side that had the plate. I definitely recommend this mod to any sv riders/racers. I have ordered the Woodcraft rigid pegs (not from Matt, he does not sell these) to accompany my new setup (crash worthiness + killer knurls for grip). The total for this whole gig w/ the pegs is about $100... still $100 cheaper than any other rearset on the market.

Matt's website also has a gallery of pics of this plates for gsxr (sv - same thing), rc51, f4, and fireblades http://fireblade.ennovatix.com

Matt may be reached at fireblade_rr@hotmail.com He's a super cool guy, im sure he'd be glad to answer any of your questions

cheers,
