Give your SV more air

From: Tom Cody Date: Monday, November 25, 2002 Heres a cheap ($2) and easy tip to give your SV more air by making your own tank spacers. First of all you need a little bit of 1/2" or 5/8" pipe or tubing. I cut mine at 3/4" long. You will need 2 longer front tank bolts. (the ones you take off to lift the tank....) Just slip the pieces of pipe under the "tabs", insert the bolt, tighten em up and there ya go. The 1/2" to 1" lift allows more, non-turbulent air under the tank and into the airbox, resulting in more power.
