Rear Stand option with jack stands

Date: Thursday, August 29, 2002 From: Dan LaCour I have read the articles here on making a rear stand, buying one is just too expensive. What I came up with was using two 2-tonne jack stands and two 8mm 2 1/2" bolts. The bolts screw right into the swing arm and all you have to do is slide jack stands in under the right side, the lean the bike on it and then slide in the left one. This works perfectly, the bike is stable and only about an inch off the floor. Keep up the great site! Dan LaCour 2002 SV
