Replacing ClipOn Handlebars with Chrome Handlebars from SV model on 2002 SVS

I removed the clipons and replaced them with the standard chome bars from the 2002 SVS650 unit because I found the Clipons were hard on me onlonger trips.

The replacement bars, clamps, brake line hose and clamps were ordered right off the stock SV units microfish parts list. The replacement was very clean & took me about 3 hours time to complete. The only hard part is verifying that I am drilling the clamp holes in the correct location because you only have one shot at that. I spent about $350.00 on parts from the dealer. The only trick that is usefull is to mount the bars onto the clamps and then using a pencil trace the outline of the clamps onto the top tripple clamp to the get the location to drill the holes. I did reroute the clutch cable between the forks to allow for the longer run length. The project is very clean and only requires a small sanding of about 3/4" off of the clear windscreen to make everything clear. Looks original to me. No problems at all on any of these mods.
