Bungee cord solutions

This can be used on any bike with a removeable seat.

Buy a pair of motorcycle tiedown extensions (about $5 at any shop), remove the rear seat and lay the tiedown extensions across the frame so that the ends hang out past the sides of the seat opening. Be sure to stay clear of the latch mechanism. Put the seat back on.

You can now attach bungee cords to the exposed loops without any contact with the bodywork. You may have to buy shorter cords since they don't need to stretch as far.

Read the post in "TIPS" about using two straps vice "getting scratches" when you use a bungy net. Well, I take off the seat, wrap the net around it and put the seat back on. Works great for small to med. loads (medium being a gallon of milk and a six of beer). For large loads? Take the seat off, pull off the bungy net, put the seat back on and carefully attach net to tie down bars.
