LF good touring Saddle bags

Hey guys. So im planning on taking a good road trip this summer around the western US of A and am trying to get some good gear for the trip. What are some good Saddle Bags that i should have a peek at? Also any other gear that you think I might need...

Side note: Im starting and ending in San Diego CA and plan on going up the coast of CA, into Oregon, and through Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Nevada. What are some good sites to see in those places?

Thanks for your wisdom!

Anything from Nelson Rigg. Lifetime warranty, well-built, good looks...can't go wrong. I have the CL-950 saddlebags and love them.

No, that's actually a Cortech tank bag that I made straps for. The Nelson Rigg saddlebags have attachment point to add a Nelson Rigg tail bag...that costs like $75. $10 in strap/buckle supplies from Wal-Mart/Hobby Lobby plus and old tank bag and I have a tail bag!

Yes, the pad comes attached to the bags, no harm to the paint. I had the deluxe saddlebags from NR before going to hard luggage.

Can't go wrong with NR or Cortech, excellent choices and the quality is top notch.

I have one of these and the optional tent bag. It holds plenty of stuff but it's kind of pricey.

Ok I really like those saddle bags but the question I have is what are those headlights on that bike. I don't think they are Buell headlights but I really like how they are vertical. Does anyone know?

I'm running the fieldsheers. Decent bag with some flaws but relatively cheap. Pics/review can be found here.
