I mod'd my 1 gen. Removed 2 baffles and reworked some internal piping. It sound excellent so I polished the entire system.

Actually I haven't polished yet. I started with a flapper wheel of 150 grit. Then started the really tedious task of using 320, 600, 800, 1500 and 2000 by hand all wet. The pictures are of the system after wet sanding with 2000 grit. I will polish using a muslin wheel and stick polish, i believe it is coarse polish it is a maroon colored stick. All the smaller areas that I cant get with the big wheel I have a small muslin wheel on a die grinder motor. Same process just a smaller wheel..

Re: First Generation SV650 Exhausts (Post Pictures Here)
I always liked the way the stock can looked on the 1st gen. The corners were rounded off, it was svelte and not too long. The second gen pipes have that stupid lip at the end of the main canister, ugh. If they only made it sound a bit better I would never have cut it off.

Re: First Generation SV650 Exhausts (Post Pictures Here)
What are some of the benefits of cutting the can, other than for sound?
