Removing Mirrors - SV650 '06

Wow. I am amazed that I can not find ANY information on how to perform this. If anyone has a link to a video/pictorial on how to accomplish this I would be thankful.

I have an online manual, but I can not find out how to remove these mirrors. Hopefully it doesn't involve disconnecting this cable and reconnecting that sprocket as I'm not too mechanically inclined.

Thank you in advance.

Naked or S model? Don't you just unscrew them?

My apologies. It is the naked. And I have no clue. In the "Show me your mirrors" thread, it looks like they just come right out from their mount on the handle-bar, but I can't imagine its that easy.

I'm desperate. I'm sick of the stock mirrors (especially since I can't get the left mirror to match the positioning of the right no matter what I do); plus they just look like crap (to me).

im assuming its going to be the same as on my '04. Just loosen off the nut that the mirror is connected to (between the morror and black mount) then unscrew the mirror. should take you about 30 seconds.
