Is there a warning sign for "cop ahead" or "slow down" for others?

i was in the car today and able to warn some brother bikers with my flashing headlights that a cop was hiding up the road with radar, but what happens when you are on bike? how can you warn other cars or riders to slow down?

uh, flash high beams just like in a car

I also use a pat on top of the head or an arm motion towards the ground

Yeah, what they all said... Patting the helmet is law enforcement, and hand flat palm down in a pushing downward motion indicates reduce speed

excellent, thanks. The motorcycle gods thanked me for warning the other bikers-i passed by a statey at least 12 over with radar on my road and he ignored me!

I was watching this thing on Court TV about how some gangs will flash their high beams at someone and then follow them home and kill them. It was their way of saying "You're my target tonight".

So I don't like to flash people considering they might have seen the same show I did.

Just don't get confused when you ride with other new riders who don't know what the helmet pat is all about. MSF teaches that the open handed pat of the helmet actually indicates HIGHBEAMS.
Of course I've never know it to mean that, but I just figured I'd mention that MSF teaches you differently.

For additional hand signals check out this link: http://www.msf-usa.org/downloads/Group_Ride.pdf
