G-PACk

hey guys went to a local shop here in san antonio guy says i should install a G-pack on my bike... when i intsall my new rear set im going to a 47 tooth for the bike. i all ready have a PC and a full macron highmount full exhaust .. does anyone here have a G-pack installed or know if they really do help to get lil more go ... im hitting 129 avg on the bike i love to hit around 140 but wont hit that till summer till i have other major work done.

I think this is the TRE mod, which can be done for MUCH cheaper..

First off, you're not gonna gain any top end with a TRE mod....you're 0-60 time may improve, but that's it.

129MPH eh? Where are you "averaging" this? And you want 11 more MPH per/hour by summer? Yes, you will need engine work to get that out of the SV.....if you still have a license by then....

i have a s-model and i can get 134 indicated, but is around 10,000 RPM and it doesn't go above that. the problem with the bike(and even more on the naked model) is that they are drag limited, once you are going that fast the engine gets to a point where it can no longer overcome the wind drag and it wont go any faster, so to get beyond that "critical speed" you'll need to make the engine stronger and/or reduce drag on the bike.

put a larger front or smaller rear or both and report.
