How to mount this cowl?

My bike came with this rear seat cowl but I haven't figured out how to mount it. I emailed the company but haven't heard back. Anyone have any experience with it? Thank you!

Re: How to mount this cowl?

Does it not just swap in for the OE passenger seat?

Re: How to mount this cowl?

I finally found some info on here. It took abit since the make is blacked out. Nope it doesn't fit on like the seat.
I guess I'll search for one that bolts on like the seat.
Any good inexpensive recommendations?

Re: How to mount this cowl?

In case anyone else is looking for info on this, it's a "power bronze" style cowl that replaces the seat. Not easy to open the SV's "trunk" with this style since it uses a screw to mount solidly on the bike. As I recall, it does not use the OEM key activated latching system.

Maybe try oneidasuzuki for an OEM cowl, but I'm not sure they go cheap or if they still make them. Used ones go up for sale on the threads once in a while.

One cheap options is to make your own out of an ebay passenger seat... latching system is built in!

Re: How to mount this cowl?

I kind of want to get some yellow vinyl and reupholster my rear seat. That way it still has the function of a passenger seat, but the look of a solo cowl.

Re: How to mount this cowl?

If you're not opposed to painting it, I have a yellow OEM cowl that I'd be willing to part with.
