Re: Live streaming video from a Bald Eagle nest
They are considered scavengers, especially in the winter.

Re: Live streaming video from a Bald Eagle nest
Ok, so apparently the eggs are supposed to start hatching tomorrow, according to the blog. The pair have a dead rabbit in the nest, you can see it on the bottom left corner of the screen. The female has been on the nest almost all morning now without a break.
The female is about 30% larger than the male.

Re: Live streaming video from a Bald Eagle nest
There's a similar falcon nestcam streaming from Cleveland's Terminal Tower.
![]() which is Cleveland's signature early 20th century building on downtown's Public Square. Cleveland Museum of Natural History sponsors the webcam. http://www.falconcam-cmnh.org/news.php As of this morning, there are four eggs in the fairly minimal "nest." Coincidently, one of the Cleveland falcons is called "Ranger." Ranger suffered "massive head trauma slamming into the Fifth Third building on Euclid Avenue last spring,"

Re: Live streaming video from a Bald Eagle nest
So the first egg should hatch within the next 36hrs.
Usually it's 35 days from when the egg is laid. The first egg was laid 36 days ago. Last year this pair averaged 37 days between the egg being laid and the hatch.

Re: Live streaming video from a Bald Eagle nest
I've had one of my monitors linked to the cam off and on the past couple days, watched the eggs get turned a couple times

Re: Live streaming video from a Bald Eagle nest
There is a sizable crack in one of the eggs, hoping tomorrow will be the day. The couple did more trades on the nest today than previously, added more fluff to the nest, the female has done a lot of sitting. It was really funny to watch her get woke up at 6:20am CST this morning by her mate, it was kind of like a "WTF time is it" kind of display.
