Re: "My Green Connector Melted" rebuild

New parts coming in soon. Delkevic radiator and new exhaust in the works. Hopefully santa brings some woodcraft rearsets because my brake pedal is snapped off.

Re: "My Green Connector Melted" rebuild

Got a small amount of work done on my day off today until i ran into a snag.

Day infinity of build: replace radiator

As you can see the old one took quite the beating. Mangled piece of scrap metal.

The new one is sitting in the corner for now until my new fan comes in from muzzy, the stock plastic one was missing 2 fins and spun crooked so it needed to be replaced, so for now im on hold. Stay tuned.

Re: "My Green Connector Melted" rebuild

Little work done. The steering damp was hitting the lower tree preventing full side to side movement.

Before:

Did some grinding:

After:

It doesnt quite touch but thats because of my naked geadlight brackets, but its close so im happy.

Got my fan in today and the radiator buttoned up and mounted. Exhaust is finished too. Tank is the last thing on the list to be buttoned up then bodywork is off for paint. More later.

Re: "My Green Connector Melted" rebuild

One huge qualm ive had with the 1k from day one were the spongy feeling brakes. Even using a vacuum bleeder never got them as stiff as other bikes ive ridden. So my solution was obviously new rotors, versah pads and these:

Stainless steel and bypasses the splitter. Cant wait to do some stoppies.

Re: "My Green Connector Melted" rebuild

Finally found some time to work on things. Winter blows.

Laid some metal on the tank. Little more work to but almost there.

Alos went all black up front. Much better.

And one more because its starting to remind me of my bike again.
