Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
Pics of new chain/sprocket set. I wanted the durability of steel and the performance of aluminum...went with a SuperSprox. I wanted the disco looks of the gold chain...went with 520 RK brand...light compared to the 525 chain. And finally, a Vortex front (I was stoked when it came in chrome)...15/46 for a little more low end power. Here are some pics....

Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
Been a while since I posted some updates of the 06' SV...
I really liked the look of the Hesa Fire headlight, but wanted a little more coverage. I toyed with the idea of buying another and mounting them side-by-side. But in the end, I went for a completely new headlight look. The Urban style light had the look/coverage I was looking for, plus the LSL black anodized brackets are pretty trick...Here is a pic.

I relocated the front turn signals to the brackets of the radiator...I think it looks pretty good this way. Sorta Speed Triple-esque.

Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
The OEM instrument cluster doesn't fit well with the Urban headlight, so I went for a temporary set up by mouting to the top of the tank...fabbed up some aluminum brackets with a carbon fiber cover and some trick anodized hardware. It works OK for now...and doesn't look too amatuer.

Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
Got bored one evening and decided it was time to mount up the Catalyst Composites race tail. I acquired a GSXR tail light from a local fella for $20, made a template of its shape on some thin cardboard, traced the shape on the tail section and made the cut. After some fine tuning for good fitment, the light mounted right up and plugs directly in to the OEM SV harness. The shape of this light fits the shape of this tail section very well IMO.
Here are some pics of the tail light and the tail section painted w/ a textured matte black finish for that "work in progress" look...I also made a carbon fiber license plate holder from some old carbon door panels from my old car. ![]() ![]()

Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
I acquired a nice set of Apex adjustable clip-ons from another SVer...I'll be looking to mount these babies up soon...along with the rest of my race body work. The anodized black should look great against the gold/bronze finish of the GSXR1000 forks.

Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
I threw my Apex Adjustable Clip-ons into the mix...I like'em! They're not nearly as uncomfortable as I anticipated. Sweetbro and I rode Palomar Mountain which entails almost two hours of commuting just to get there. I was fine. Handling suffered since I didn't have the leverage of the moto bars. I still need to move my fork tubes up...that should help...but here's a pic...

Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
I decided to relocate my ignition...it seems like the right thing to do...and it cleaned up my triple clamp area. Here what it looks like...

Re: Jonesh242 06' Sv650n
I cracked my gas cap while screwing around trying to make a new mount for my instrument cluster...so I got the trick looking gold thing...BLING! I also mounted my cluster back up on the LSL triple...the gas tank mounted looked better in my opinion, but I hated to have to look that far down to check my speed...WINK.
