Bike Vibrating Excessively
Feels to me that the bike is vibrating excessively, chain doesn't have any kinked links that I can see. Not sure if any are tight though. Could chain tension do this? Any other ideas? It's vibrating through bars and pegs. And one last thing, anyone use a harbor freight rear stand? I bought spools, but just looking for a rear stand to clean and lube my chain once in a while.

Front tire choppy? Wheels out of balance?
I have a harbor freight stand. It's 'ok.'

And also the harbor freight stand...eh. The rubber is tearing off the paddles and one of the adjustment knobs broke off with less force than should have been possible. Spools! |

Tires are brand new and balanced. Put on by reputable shop. It did this before the tires also.

Re: Bike Vibrating Excessively
Check your engine mounting bolts for proper torque. Maybe TB synching.

Re: Bike Vibrating Excessively
Mine 2007 was starting to vibrate and I had some clunking noises that I assumed was the chain. I had the chain and sprockets replaced and now the vibration and noise are gone. Looking at the old chain the some of the o-rings were failing and there was movement within the links also found one area bound up, which explains the clunking noises I would get.
I have 15.7k on my bike, and I was told that was pretty good for chain life. mrbill |
