Re: Crashed into deer - need help figuring out parts
Nothing you can do when an animal runs in front of you but close your eyes and pray. At least you were able to walkaway. At least if you rebuild it you'll have some cool before and after pics and that will make your story that much more interesting.

Re: Crashed into deer - need help figuring out parts
I figured I should update this thread. A few weeks ago I got a new bike. This one was scrapped...like most of you said it would cost more to repair than to buy a new one.
I got a 2010 sv650a in white now =)

**** man that sucks you did not have collision, well when it comes to a car a deer hit is a comprehensive claim, I would assume bike would be considered the same. It is unfortunately but good thing you are ok adn NOT AFFRAID to eep riding, props for that!

Re: Crashed into deer - need help figuring out parts
Oh and good job on the replacement! The white SV with the black forks is probably the sexiest SV they make! I even painted my silver forks black on my blue SV to match the frame (have absolutely no clue why Suzuki left the forks silver when they changed the frame to black) Suzuki got it right when changing the forks to black to match the frame (seems only on the euro and canada models tho.

I dunno. I don't think you'll get much for the parts.
I think it can be saved. Frame and engine good, why not just get a full GSXR conversion (front and rear wheels, forks) and make it a Naked?
