Great Product and Service

I wanted to post up a big thank you to Steve over at Convertibars for the service and product that they are putting out. I've been commuting on my SVS for a couple years now but have spent the last year commuting two up with my girlfriend 60 miles a day. Its been killing my wrists and shoulders so I have been looking for something that would change my riding position. I considered a few options but opted for convertibars after talking to Steve and after getting them dialed in, the last week has been so much better in terms of comfort and riding position. My girlfriend is also much happier on the back because she isn't sliding forward as much when we get into some hard braking.

The communication, etc with Steve has been great and the quality of the product is absolutely top notch. My only gripe is that I didn't get the extended clutch cable because the cable binds a bit when you go full lock to the left. I'd suggest spending the extra money to get the additional cable.

Overall, I would consider convertibars a must for anyone who spends a decent amount of time on their sportbike. I've always been a bit reluctant to consider buying a streetbike like a R6 or GSXR as a daily rider due to lack of comfort but given the fact that I can now better control the riding position, these are now back on my list of bikes I want in my garage as daily riders.

Re: Great Product and Service

I'm glad you have a more comfortable ride. I'm not sure if it can be done with SV clip ons, but I know a few buddies on other sportbikes where they just flip the clipon so instead of having a downward angle, they go a lil higher. I rode a bike like that once and took me abour 5 mins to get used to it. Not sure if anyone here tried that cheap(free) alternative.
