There's no expectation of privacy on a public roadway, therefore you can film whoever you want. How do you think the Paparazzi get away with it?

I ride with the Go-Pro, but it is kinda a pain. It doesn't always get used. My problem is forgetting it on the bikes, forgetting to charge it, and forgetting to turn it off (also involved in forgetting it on the bike). It becomes another thing you need to do before/after a ride.

It's be nice if there was a way to plug it in to the bike, and keep it waterproof.

No, not the best video or audio quality, but good enough to see details. The one thing a stationary front or rear facing camera wont catch though is the car next to you moving into your lane and into you. It will catch the car rear ending you and the car swerving in front of you and then braking hard.
Also, one of the big factors for me doing this ^^^, what happens in the event that you are in an accident where you are uncouncious or even worse, killed? Who is going to speak on your behalf? The person that caused it? They are just going to say "yep, all my fault"? Not gonna happen. My wife knows that should I ever go down, she needs to make sure she gets the camera(s) from my bike.
