Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
If you order the All Balls rear wheel kit, it comes with all three bearings and the seal. I know this because I just ordered and installed a set. I ordered them from Bike Bandit.

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
I know that you can just feel for roughness/binding while the wheels are off, but what mileage does Suzuki recommend to change them?

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
There's nothing about it in the scheduled maintenance section of my service manual. It says how to check them in the chassis section, but simply says "Replace the bearing in the following procedure if there is any thing unusual" rather than giving a number.

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
Ok thanks. I didn't see anything either when I looked, just wanted to be sure.

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
OEM all the way. i will never ever put aftermartket wheel bearings, swingarm bearings, or fork seals on anything. had nothing but problems with pivot works and all balls.

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
Unless you have very high mileage, like pushing 75 or 100k, motorcycle wheel bearings rarely need replacement. If they feel smooth and there is no excess wheel play, you're good.

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
When I put on my GSXR wheel in back, I bought new bearings fit the SV axle OD and the wheel ID. I got them thru VBX Bearings.

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
How about steering head bearings? Pretty sure the SV uses ball bearings, but tapered roller bearings last much longer.

Re: Preferred wheel bearings?
Crap, Dobbs...I just ordered All Balls for my front. Did a lot of research and didn't find too many negatives on it.
