Fly Screen Are
you into the Streetfighter look? If so, then Holeshot Performance
has something for your SV thats as practical as it is decorative.
The companys Fly Screen ($119) greatly compliments the look of a
naked SV, and it offers a surprising amount of wind protection. Holeshot owner Dale Walker designed his Fly Screen to fit the SV, Bandit and other bikes running a seven-inch headlight. Its made of hand laid fiberglass and comes with mounting hardware. Installation time is about 15 minutes. When
I purchased my Fly Screen I was a little skeptical about its ability to
redirect wind. Its such a little thing! But, after installing the
screen I found that it really does make quite a difference. Riding at
Interstate speeds is more comfortable than it used to be as the screen
takes a noticeable amount of wind off your chest. Granted, a _ fairing
would provide more wind protection, but that would detract from the character
of the SV for me. Holeshots Fly Screen has a European flair that
adds to the bikes naked nature. I
was impressed with the quality of the mounting hardware. The stainless
steel brackets are nicely finished, and the rubber well nuts with brass-threaded
inserts make for a secure and vibration free connection between the Screen
and the brackets. Holeshot also throws in a rubber trim strip for the
bottom of the screen that wraps around the headlight, as well as a small
strip of self-adhesive rubber to place between the Screen and the top
of the tachometer to further reduce vibration. About
